How your donation helps

Your donation enables us to provide comprehensive support and resources for people with disabilities. We attach great importance to the economical and efficient use of the funds entrusted to us. Our administration costs are six to seven percent. This means that the majority of your donation goes directly to our projects and thus achieves the greatest possible impact. You can be sure that you can donate effectively with us.

Donate internationally

With international donations, we support projects all over the world. In 2023 alone, we had the privilege of helping an average of 150,000 people per month in 177 countries. Together, we can make a difference worldwide.

How we help internationally

Shortly after the self-help forum was launched in Morocco, members expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to exchange ideas and help each other:

«Thank you for your efforts with EnableMe. You are already helping to improve the rights of people with disabilities in Morocco.»

Donations in Switzerland

With your donation you support numerous projects in Switzerland such as the  peer program and the  job portal that help people with disabilities to lead independent lives. Your donation also helps to create specialist articles that are tailored to the specific questions and issues of those affected in Switzerland.

How we help in Switzerland

Petra (name changed) has suffered from depression for over 20 years, accompanied by chronic pain. She has been under medical treatment for many years and even the specialists simply don't know what to do anymore. She contacts the peer program in desperation and tells us about her crisis.

After a long conversation with our peer counselor and project manager, Petra found the strength to start inpatient therapy. Following this, the project manager organised another exchange between Petra and a peer counselor who herself had years of experience with depression and chronic pain. The two were in regular contact for several months. Petra is very grateful and explains:

«I couldn't even talk openly with my therapist and I didn't feel understood there either.»

-Petra

Donations for children with disabilities

Donations for children with disabilities help us support special programs and services that provide support to children and their families. From educational programs to peer programs for youth that enable interaction among those affected, every donation makes a difference in the lives of these children.

How we help parents of children with disabilities

Angela (name changed) has a seven-year-old son with autism. In her search for help, she came across our digital support center for parents of children with disabilities. Grateful for the opportunity to find out about various topics and to get in touch with other parents, she writes:

«Now I know who to turn to if I need advice other than that of our pediatrician. Keep up the good work!»

-Angela

Donations for Ukraine

Many people in Ukraine urgently need help. Your donation supports the procurement of medicines, special equipment and information. Thanks to the enormous support of donors, we have already been able to help more than 1.5 million people in Ukraine between 2022 and 2024. Every donation counts and helps to alleviate the suffering.

How we help in Ukraine

Oleksandr asked EnableMe for support because his 100 kg electric wheelchair had to be transported from Ukraine to Germany. Due to his complex disability, he is dependent on this special wheelchair, which he could not take with him during the evacuation. Helpers from EnableMe Ukraine contacted numerous volunteers and transport companies and finally found someone who brought the wheelchair to Germany free of charge.

«Thank you very much, my 100 kg wheelchair will be delivered from Ukraine to Germany free of charge!»

-Oleksandr

Donations in Germany

There are also many people in Germany who are dependent on support. Your donation enables us to support programs that help people with disabilities in Germany. These include education and labor market initiatives as well as direct support for those affected.

How we help in Germany

Domino registered in the self-help forum in 2009, which at the time
was still under the name of the MyHandicap Foundation. In recent years, says the
member, "many questions have been answered and valuable tips given
." According to Domino, the helpful contributions from the moderators and personal reports
from those affected make dealing with one's own disability
more bearable.

«I am happy to be part of this community for those affected and their families.»

-Domino
